To and From Rome by Rail The ‘Leonardo Express’ train service connect the airport to Rome’s Termini Station – services generally depart every 30 minutes and the journey time takes 35 minutes. Slower Metropolitan Trains are also available FM1 stop at local stations on the way to Tiburtina. Services also run to Fara Sabina, Poggio Mirteto and Orte.

To and From Rome By Coach There is a Terravision Shuttle service from the airport Rome Termini daily – this connects at Lepanto to the metro (Line A). There is a night service to Rome Termini from the COTRAL service.

To and from Rome by road: The A12 Motorway from the Fiumicino Airport links with GRA ring road, which encircles Rome. This ring road has signposts for all central Rome areas.

A Few Facts About Rome Fiumicino International Airport

There are 3 terminals The airport has three terminals with Terminal C the main international terminal. Poste Italiane  has two offices at “Leonardo da Vinci” airport one in the arrival area of Terminal C that is open from 08:30 a.m. to 01:50 pm. The other is in the arrival area of Terminal A that is open from 08:00 a.m. to 7:00 pm. There is a bank in the arrivals area of Terminal A though it seems to have limited opening hours. There are a good range of shops and restaurants within this airport.

Policy For Disabled Visitors There are lounges for Disabled passengers lounges in all s. Passengers should state when booking a flight any specific assistance they require. , passengers with disabilities are asked to specify any assistance they require. There are parking spaces allocated for disabled passengers at the long-term car park and also on the first floor of car parks B and C and on level four of car park D.

Airport Facilities A First Aid facility is available daily 24 hours. A chapel, a prayer room and nurseries are also available.

Luggage Facilities. Left luggage services are available in Terminal C on the ground floor. Telephone 06 6595 3541. The airport also lost property office can be contacted by telephoning 06 6595 5253. Pre Booked Porter service can be arranged on 06 6595 4054 / 8364.

Religious Facilities The are two prayers rooms for people of any faith. One is situated between Terminal C and B and the other next to the domestic arrivals at Terminal A. Catholic Chapel This is in Terminal C by the departures area. Masses are celebrated on Holy days at 9.00 & 11.00am. On other days services are at 8.30am.

Travelling To Central Downtown Roma From Roma Ciampino Airport On Public City Transport

Airport Location & Distance From City Centre : 15km SE Of of Rome

Bus Service To Ciampino Rail Station. This is provided by the Schiaffini service – the service runs at 30 minute intervals.

To and From Rome by Rail Trains take 12-15 minutes from Ciampino Station (see airport bus connection above) to Roma Termini. Train depart approximately every 20 minutes.

To and From Rome via Bus & Metro Network by Bus. Buses run every 40 minutes day between the airport and Anagnina Metro Station. The journey takes 5 minutes. Metro services from Anagnina to central downtown Roma run about every minutes.

To and From Rome By Airport Shuttle Bus. There is a Terravision Shuttle service from the aIrport to Roma Termini Railway Station. This service is reserved for flights from nine airlines.

Alternative Bus service To Central Rome. There is a direct shuttle coaches between the airport and Roma Termini Railway Station but it only runs every couple of hours during the day and is not very dependable. Check at airport information desks for further details.

A Few Facts About Rome Ciampino (Giovan Battista Pastine) Airport

The airport has three information desks, one in each terminal. There are two banks but neither undertake currency exchange. The banks are open Monday to Friday from 8:25 a.m. to 1:35 p.m. and from 14:55 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Currency exchange bureaus are situated in the arrivals and departures area and are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. ATM machines are located in the main terminal and departures area. There is a selection of shops and restaurants in all terminals.

First-aid station Aeroporti di Roma’s first-aid station, opens 24 hours per day for 365 days a year to assist passengers and airport staff alike

Policy For Disabled Visitors The airport has mobile lifting equipment to assist passengers on and of planes. It also has staff trained to support to passengers. Visitors requiring these services should advise their airline when booking. In the last two years it has improved wheelchair access in the terminal. There are only eight designated disabled parking bays at the airport.

Luggage Lost & found baggage enquiries can be made daily at the luggage office in the arrivals area from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
